Scores of British Columbians are buying or renting former drug houses, but many of them find out only after their new neighbours drop by to meet them.

It’s then that those residents realize they are living with potential risks of mould and wiring and structural hazards, and may even find their homes are uninsurable, delegates at the Union of B.C. Municipalities conference heard Wednesday.
